Schweitzer, Eric

Eric H. Schweitzer has been the Director of Standards & Certification at 3-A Sanitary Standards, Inc. since 2013. He oversees nearly 100 processing equipment and system standards and the Certified Conformance Evaluators who conduct Third Party Verification inspections. Eric promotes 3-A’s influence in setting hygienic design requirements for clean-in-place applications and harmonizing with regulations. Before joining 3-A SSI, he developed safety and performance standards for the National Waste & Recycling Association and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association. Eric also worked as a project manager, logistics manager, sales engineer, and technician for manufacturers of specialized antennas, power supplies, and a U.S. Army/AirForce Joint Program. A former U.S. Navy Aviation Electronics Technician, Eric holds a B.A. in Communications Research from the University of Maryland. He resides in Silver Spring, Maryland, and enjoys hiking, kayaking, biking, and dabbling in the fine arts and music.
